Welcome to the official website of Gereja Kristus Di Indonesia!

God designed the church to be his earthly household with Jesus as the standard and chief cornerstone; and that’s what Gereja Kristus Di Indonesia (GKDI) stands for. GKDI is not a perfect church but a church striving for perfection in Christ. It is a melting pot where people from different walks of lives, gather and worship God, growing to be more like Christ.

Here you can get all reliable information about our church, events, activities, as well as many inspiring stories about the lives of people that have been impacted and transformed in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 7:17 (NIV)

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

tn_turisnaTo bear good fruit is determined by the tree of the fruit.  If the tree was good, the fruit is also good, and vice versa. So it is with a mother who has 3 children named Turisna. She has been a disciple of Jesus since 1998 and currently teaches as a lecturer at a Nursing Academy in one of the largest hospitals in Medan.

Responsibility as a teacher and a housewife does not reduce the duties & responsibilities of this sister to share the Word of God and to become a spiritual blessing in the ministry, all the more do her best not only in church but in her workplace is a challenge for her.

tn_budiviviOn the 1st October 2011, a couple was baptized in Christ.  They are Budi and Vivi, and this is their story.

Budi is a successful single, 38 years old and have reached a top executive position in a multi-national company in Balikpapan.  After studying the Bible, Budi realized that he needs to be humble and obey God.  Knowing that his current job's description and responsibilites would hinder him in becoming a true disciple, he decided to tender his resignation to his company.  Budi would rather lose his job than to lose his salvation.  God is good, all the time.  His tender of resignation was denied, and instead his company changed his current job description and responsibilities so that they can still keep Budi to work for the company.

tn_kebaktiankampusjambiGod works in all things to bring goodness to those who believe.  He's the one who decides the time and place for everyone (Rom 8:28, Acts 17:26).  It is truly not a coincidence if the Leader of UKM KK of Jambi University Rico Sijabat to meet and get to know the Jambi Church Leader, Pastor Naek Sijabat.

After some time, Rico Sijabat and Pst. Naek Sijabat (along with other comittee members) had successfully held a few spiritual events - to serve God together in Jambi University.  Some of those events are:  Saturday Fellowship, University of Jambi Students Fellowship Worship, and a BERIMAN-BERILMU (Faithful and Smart) Seminar which was held by PERKANTAS (Varsities Christian Fellowship Group).

tn_cindyOn the 25th September 2011, Teens Ministry of the Bali Church had their first baptism since they were formed on July.  It was Cindy, a teenager who made a decision to become a Christian and a disciple of Christ.

Cindy came from a non-Christian family.  Cindy knew about Christianity from her uncles and aunts (Ketut-Comy and Donny-Roslin), who happens to be in the married ministry of the Bali Church.  They always tell stories about having a life as a Christian to Cindy, which made her more curious of becoming a Christian herself.
